2. How We Use Your Information

  • To Provide OCR Services: Images captured via the camera are sent to Google’s Gemini API for processing to extract text. This is the core functionality of the OCR feature. The extracted text is then used to generate a PDF document within the App.
  • For Authentication: We use the information obtained from Google Sign-In to securely log you into the App and manage your user session.
  • To Improve Services: data analytics for improving the app

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties

  • Google (for OCR): To perform the OCR function, the images you capture are securely transmitted to Google’s Gemini API. Google processes these images according to its own privacy policies and terms of service. We recommend you review Google’s policies for details on how they handle data submitted to their APIs. We do not store the original images sent to the Gemini API on our servers after processing is complete.
  • Google (for Sign-In): We use Google’s authentication services for sign-in. Your interaction with Google Sign-In is governed by Google’s privacy policy.
  • Other Third Parties: Google Analytics, admob. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data Storage and Security

  • Images: We do not store the original images you capture for OCR on our servers or within the App’s permanent storage unless you explicitly save the generated PDF. Images are temporarily processed and sent to the Gemini API.
  • Generated PDFs: If you choose to save the PDF document generated from the extracted text, it will be stored locally on your device in the location you select. We do not have access to these locally stored files.
  • Account Information: Your basic Google account information (name, email) used for sign-in may be stored securely to maintain your session.
  • Security Measures: We implement reasonable security measures to protect the information we handle. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Camera Permission

  • Our App requests permission to access your device’s camera. This permission is essential for the core OCR functionality, allowing you to capture images of documents for text extraction. We only access the camera when you actively initiate the capture process within the App. The images captured are used as described in the “How We Use Your Information” and “Data Sharing and Third Parties” sections.
